<p>Highstar Sodium showcased its sodium-ion battery for energy storage for the first time, boasting a cycle life exceeding 15,000 cycles. Related energy storage products can cover large-scale energy storage scenarios ranging from 2 to 8 hours, and commercialization is expected this year.</p>



<p>The sodium-ion battery for energy storage exhibited uses a platform design with the same casing as its existing 314Ah lithium battery, achieving maximum system compatibility with both lithium and sodium batteries. It has a capacity of 160+ Ah, an efficiency of 97%, and a cycle life exceeding 15,000 cycles. This sodium-ion energy storage product can cover large-scale energy storage applications ranging from 2 to 8 hours, and commercialization in the energy storage field is expected this year.</p>



<p>In the future, Highstar Sodium will further combine wide temperature range and high safety characteristics, optimize thermal management, simplify system integration design, continuously upgrade the sodium-ion battery chemistry system, improve energy density, reduce the cost of sodium-ion energy storage, and promote the large-scale application of sodium-ion batteries in the energy storage field.</p>

The system, delivered in late June, is now facing its first true test: the &#8220;high-altitude winter,&#8221; where temperatures plummet to -20°C.</p>



<p>Extreme cold can be fatal to conventional energy storage systems, while the low atmospheric pressure at high altitudes can cause batteries to swell, posing a significant safety risk.
