Highstar Sodium showcased its sodium-ion battery for energy storage for the first time, boasting a cycle life exceeding 15,000 cycles. Related energy storage products can cover large-scale energy storage scenarios ranging from 2 to 8 hours, and commercialization is expected this year.
The sodium-ion battery for energy storage exhibited uses a platform design with the same casing as its existing 314Ah lithium battery, achieving maximum system compatibility with both lithium and sodium batteries. It has a capacity of 160+ Ah, an efficiency of 97%, and a cycle life exceeding 15,000 cycles. This sodium-ion energy storage product can cover large-scale energy storage applications ranging from 2 to 8 hours, and commercialization in the energy storage field is expected this year.
In the future, Highstar Sodium will further combine wide temperature range and high safety characteristics, optimize thermal management, simplify system integration design, continuously upgrade the sodium-ion battery chemistry system, improve energy density, reduce the cost of sodium-ion energy storage, and promote the large-scale application of sodium-ion batteries in the energy storage field.
